I can now add the cities of San Marcos, New Braunfels, and San Antonio to the list of places where I have done rideshare driving.
For a couple of months, I have had the thought of turning on the app when I was going to look at projects in San Antonio. With the feature in the Uber app where you can program your destination and the app finds rides along the way, I felt like I could do that and it would not affect my timing of being at the project. That is exactly how it worked out both on the way down to San Antonio and on the way back.
The summary of today's topics of conversation were -
- Young lady that was being "kicked out" of her father's rental property so he could rent it for more money to someone else. This actually turned into more of a mentoring type of conversation.
- Man who works at a place where they modify pickup trucks and is also part of the family's hemp farm. We also talked about religion, ghosts, and extraterrestrials, all in the same conversation. To mash all of that together, one could say that we talked about invisible stoned aliens in thou monster truck.
- Conversation with a nurse about the medical community, retirement homes, and hospice care. She really likes her job
8 rides and $116 along the way to where I was going anyway.
